The Technician may work in any type of location on client premises. This individual performs maintenance on various types of machines. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as personal computers, electronic transmitting and receiving equipment etc.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of electronic devices as necessary.
Orders replacement parts.
Inspects completed repairs.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
1 year of related work experience.
Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
Significant walking or other means of mobility.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
- OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately prepare material per recipe following established procedures. Document formulations, new recipes, filter products, label bottles, order supplies, maintain customer logs and keep accurate notebooks. Perform Laboratories Sweeps for Regulated Medical Waste (RMW), and Radioactive waste. Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures, perform and document QC tests, verify laboratory instrumentation, verify equipment calibrations and maintain chemical inventory.
All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and Sanofi or Sodexo procedures applicable to their role. Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood and responsibilities are defined. Quality and Compliance non-conformances and potential quality and compliance risks to all regulations must be reported immediately to your line manager and the Sodexo Compliance team. Environmental, Health and Safety non-conformances and potential environmental, health and safety risks must be reported immediately to your line manager and Sodexo EHS,
- WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Manager of Laboratory Services
Interfaces with: Scientists, Compliance, Maintenance
III. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Prepare media per recipe following established procedures.*
o Properly label all chemicals and containers in accordance to Sodexo's policies
o Verify balance and pH meter before use and record.
o Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures to prepare reagent, buffer
and media formulations according to customer request.
o Add new recipes to the Recipe Binder according to Work instructions
o Perform and document appropriate QC Tests on all finished products.
o Deliver products to designated areas and follow shipping policies.
o Interact with colleagues, vendors, maintenance, compliance and scientific staff
to address equipment issues, audit responses and supply issues.
o Operate and understand equipment necessary to perform job such as autoclaves,
incubator, chart recorders, pH meters, balances, water systems, bio-safety cabinets,

o Collect Regulated Medical Waste containers and replace them with an empty
o Collect radioactive waste (i.e. dry solid, mixed waste, liquid aqueous, liquid scintillation vials, SPA plates, and animal carcasses)
o Transport waste to appropriate areas for processing
Store RMW in appropriate location until it is shipped off-site for disposal
Process radioactive waste (i.e. dry solid, mixed waste, liquid aqueous, liquid scintillation vials, SPA plates, and animal carcasses)
Package and label radioactive waste drums/containers for shipment
Complete corresponding documentation for processed radioactive waste drums/containers
- Coordinate and conduct (or assist with) shipments, Including:
o Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) / Pathological waste
Prep pallets of biological waste
Prep pallets of pathological waste
o Radioactive waste
Load waste onto shipment transport truck
Perform incoming/outgoing contamination surveys
- Perform radioactive contamination surveys, including:*
o Radiation waste process lab/area
o Transport vehicle Weekly
o Complete corresponding documentation
* * Radioactive Waste Package Surveys*
o Receipt, inventory and wipe survey of incoming radioactive packages
* * Perform Routine Sampling, including:*
o Coordinate the collection of semi-annual waste water samples
o Complete and file corresponding documentation
* * Perform Routine Inspections, including:*
o Complete and file corresponding documentation
* * Adhere to all applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site specific health safety plans* (i.e. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Job Safety Assessment (JSA), etc.)
