Sodexo is seeking a Conference Services Manager for the University of Tampa located in the Tampa, FL. Located on 105 acres downtown Tampa on the Hillsborough River, The University of Tampa has over 9,300 students, 3.4 Million SF and over 4,000 student residents. Sodexo has performed Facilities Management in Maintenance, Grounds, Housekeeping and Conferences and Set-Ups for over 25 years. With over 250 Student Organizations and over 600 Faculty/Staff, there are many events and functions to support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, execute and manage campus events for students, faculty and university constituents;

  • work with multiple departments on campus for all events;

  • manage inventory and storage of equipment;

  • Work with outside vendors and events that utilize the campus.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of successful Conference/Hospitality Services leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;

  • 1-2 years of Conference Services/Hospitality/Event Planning experience;

  • the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time;

  • coordinate with other departments such as catering, AV, IT and other departments at the university as well as outside vendors;

  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;

  • strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;

  • has strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
