Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for CHI Trinity Health. This is a two-hospital system in Steubenville , Ohio. Located just 39 miles Southwest of Pittsburgh, Steubenville is on the Ohio/West Virginia boarder.

Trinity West is a 140 bed acute care facility. It is undergoing a $75 million renovation and will be recognized as one of the region's premier health care providers. Sodexo partners with the CHI National Food Program to deliver AYR (At Your request) Room Service, an exciting renovated retail program and catering to the executive team and board members. Trinity East is a 70 bed facility and is also running AYR.

This position will manage up to 50 employees and be responsible for over 1 million in managed volume. The right candidate should have a passion for food, a hands on style and a leadership mindset.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Key Duties

  • Implements & coordinates the culinary function.

  • Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.

  • Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.

  • Manages catering & retail areas.

  • Customer & Client satisfaction.

  • Financial management to include food cost & labor management.

  • Manages food & physical safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
