Unit Description

Sodexois seeking an experienced Executive Chef 1 for ASU in Jonesboro, AR. This Executive Chef will assist the Executive Chef III with the total culinary program on campus. Some evenings are required. Arkansas State University is a 15,000 student university in Jonesboro, AR which is in the north east part of the state. We operate the residential dining, retail dining, catering and sports and leisure for the campus. Jonesboro population is 71,551 people and growing at a fast pace.

The ideal candidate has:

  • a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;

  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;

  • previous experience working in a high volume facility; and

  • strong management skills.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

-Manages food & physical safety program.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
