Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for CHI St Vincent North hospital located in Sherwood, Arkansas.

This position will primarily support the patient dining programs for patients in acute care and rehab settings for approximately 140 total beds, including oversight for patient experience and diet office functions.

The typical schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday working mostly evening shifts of the hours of 11am-730pm.

Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

We are looking for candidates who can:

  • implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer/patient satisfaction;

  • monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding;

  • interact with patients and the nursing staff;

  • perform tray assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the floors; and

  • perform some HR functions and direct supervision of hourly associates.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies

  • knowledge of diets and being a Certified Dietary Manager would be a plus

  • ability to implement and run programs to Sodexo standards

  • Strong management skills, preferably in health care but not necessarily if you are also a dietitian

Position Summary

Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
