Sodexo Campus Services is seeking an experienced Retail Manager 3 for its dining services program at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina . Approximately 20 minutes from Charlotte,

Winthrop's campus encompasses a rich architectural blend of neo-Georgian buildings and is included in the National Register of Historic Places. An attractive recreational area surrounds Winthrop Lake and includes a 6,100-seat coliseum and numerous athletics facilities, for both collegiate and recreational play.

Winthrop Dining Services offers diverse dining options to the campus community, including a chef-driven residential dining program and exciting retail concepts, including allergen-safe selections. Sodexo's dining services offer 9 Retail locations, residential dining, catering and concessions. This Retail Manager will oversee on campus concessions and will assist in overseeing a fully licensed Starbucks, Chic Fil- A, Einstein’s and Subway.

We are looking for candidates who will manage:

  • frontline staff;

  • cash handing process;

  • department HACCP and safety programs for regulatory compliance;

  • frontline training programs;

  • opening and closing the operation; and

  • daily operation standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.

Key Duties

  • Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.

  • Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.

  • Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.

  • Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.

  • Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
