Sodexo is seeking a qualified high-volume Food Service Manager 3 to oversee the Resident Dining operations at Jamestown University – a dynamic student centric University in Jamestown, ND with a $1.5M Board Operation of 750 Boarding Students. Reporting to the General Manager, this Food Service Manager 3 will oversee up to 25 employees.The Resident Dining consists of multiple platform dining options (pizza, salad, pasta, classics, and 2 Action Stations) which offers continually changing cycle menus based on student interests in cuisine.
Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in a high-volume student Resident Dining operation with board plans.
Food Retail experience (QSR) is a plus.
Passion and commitment to providing a welcoming dining experience to our students and leading a team focused on high level of customer satisfaction.
A strong background in excellent operational performance, leading a team to greatness as well as strong client communication and relationship skills.
Understanding of campus resident dining and how to market towards special meal plans, voluntary meal plans and utilize social media in sharing such with student population.

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
