Unit Description

Sodexo Campus Dining Services at Oral Roberts University, in Tulsa, OK , is looking for an Executive Chef /Culinary Operation Manager for Resident Dining . The position reports directly to the General Manager and will supervise a Service Manager, Executive Chef, and Production Manager. The Dining Hall operates with 65 employees and serves 2,000 students on various meal plans. The candidate must have extensive as well as strong kitchen management skills and a food production culinary background. This manager will also be involved with and assist the Executive Chef in developing high profile catering events menus. Must be a self-motivated individual that can implement an ever-changing Resident Dining program and operate that program within financial budgetary targets. Also must have the ability to respond to as well as generate action plans to address client and customers concerns and issues. The Operations Manager must be able to handle multiple priorities as well as implement and monitor all of Sodexo Operational Standards. The candidate must be able to process and navigate any HR related issues with non-union hourly employees and should be able to step up and assume the General Manager’s responsibilities at any time during his/her absence. Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.

Key Duties

  • Establishes a safe work environment

  • Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

  • Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

  • Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

  • Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

  • Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
