Currently, Sodexo is seeking an entry level Food Retail Manager 2 at University of Idaho – a showcase University account in Moscow, IA. Univ of Idaho offers high volume retail, resident dining, concessions, catering, conferences and camps. This position will oversee multiple Food Retail venues and Concessions for Football, Basketball and other events. Will need to be flexible with work schedule.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • background w/Food Retail in high volume campus, hospital or similar environment handling multiple venues.

  • Understanding for increasing retail food sales through: product placement and merchandising.

  • Be customer / guest oriented to enhance the dining experience.

  • Systems orientation for menus/graphics/costing/ordering and inventory/Point of Sale systems.

  • Flexibility to multi-task, delegate, review and adjust employee work schedules.

  • ability to manage, motivate, schedule and train hourly employees.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.

Key Duties

  • Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.

  • Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.

  • Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.

  • Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.

  • Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
