Unit Description

Sodexo Sports & Leisure is seeking an Operations Manager 3 to assist our General Manager in leading the F&B operations at the Iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. We provide the ultimate guest experience in upscale dining and catering at some of the World's most iconic cultural and sporting venues. As Ops Manager you will front of house daily operations of this large volume multi-outlet, multi million dollar F&B account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the on-site food and beverage operations for premium restaurants, catering, in-seat dining, club concessions and general concessions operations.

You are/have:

  • Real passion for delivering superb guest service, food quality, safety, and providing a positive and professional work environment.

  • Experience successfully managing a large staff through managers

  • Strong experience building strong relations with multiple clients & stakeholders

  • Experience with inventory, ordering, safety, staffing, schedule, payroll & food production exp., knowledgeable with food and labor cost

  • Experience hiring, training and leading a team of 300+ employees

  • Prior experience with Client Relations, leadership roles with multiple food outlets including Franchise Concepts

  • Flexible Schedule Required for concert schedule

  • Familiarity with computer programs, scheduling software, financial & payroll systems, Kronos, E-Vision & Microsoft Office

  • Excellent Customer service oriented, able to go above and beyond for the guest and client, professional and good communication skills

  • Experience creating budgets and running the business accordingly

  • Prior success managing multiple food outlets including catering, premium suites & concessions preferred

Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.

Key Duties

  • Establishes a safe work environment

  • Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence

  • Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

  • Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

  • Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

  • Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

  • Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
