Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Concession Manager 2 for Florida State University located in Tallahassee, FL ! Home of the Florida State Seminoles, FSU athletics participates in the ACC. The Seminoles play football in Doak S. Campbell Stadium (seats 80K / 11 suites)! The Concessions Manager will also oversee other athletic venues on campus as contracted.

The Concession Manager is a highly visible position and is responsible for daily contact with clients and customers while overseeing all concessions operations. The Concession Manager will also work closely with Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and is responsible for scheduling, training and managing the volunteers to operate event sales, cash handling, balancing end of shift reports. This position will be responsible for ordering of supplies, stocking concession stands and carts with proper counts and products, maintaining accurate inventories weekly, and proper cash handling for all concessions events. Customer service and client relations/satisfaction are top priorities. The Concessions Manager will also oversee the athletic training tables and assist with suites catering operations as needed.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Concessions management experience at large stadium/arena venues;

  • Strong financial skills;

  • Strong understanding or and practical experience with HACCP;

  • Experience managing and developing a talented and diverse team of employees.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for food preparation and service operations in a concessions account/unit (i.e., stadiums, amusement parks) to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through cost containment and safety.

Key Duties

-Utilizes Sodexo resources, systems and programs to direct daily operations including; food production, stand inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.

-Directs daily operations in a concessions account/unit to ensure employees, NPO (non-profit organizations) groups and 3rd party vendors (if applicable) have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.

-Ensures that concessions area, equipment and storage facilities are sanitary, neat and organized. Drives a Zero Harm mindset by maintaining a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards.

-Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary

-Supervises employees, NPO groups and 3rd party vendors by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards to ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward customers and clients.
