Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Resource/Floating Retail Manager 3 to join our team. The Resource/Floating Retail Manager 3 will be based out of our MIT Lincoln labs account in Lexington MA, but must be willing to work in accounts up to 30 miles North or West of Boston.
About the location:
The MIT Lincoln Laboratory, located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a United States Department of Defense research and development center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security. The Laboratory provides a technical base for military electronics ranging from radars to reentry physics. The current food landscape consist of 3 cafes, coffee location, and catering operations.
About the Role:
The Resource/Floating Retail Manager 3 will support the General Manager and works across all areas of the food operation. Duties include but not limited to:
Overseeing the FOH to include management of FOH employees (10 to 15 hourly employees)
Providing excellent customer and client service
Assist with catering
This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
