Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian, licensed in Nevada, to come join their dynamic team at Mountainview Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. A growing hospital that has gone from a 140 beds to a 400 bed facility and is adding a NICU3 unit at the hospital.

The ideal candidate will be a team player and work with a Strong professional clinical RD team that currently works well together. Additionally, the preferred candidate will compliment the team and be willing to help us with the growth and be responsible for covering patients with a variety disease states in various areas of the hospital.

This Position is scheduled to work 24 hours a week part- time with a full comprehensive benefits package from Sodexo.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a registered dietitian with 1 year of acute care experience and be responsible for the nutrition care process, including comprehensive nutrition assessments, appropriate interventions, educations, and interdisciplinary care planning for patients and prior food management and room service experience in a health-care setting a plus

  • Provide training and nutrition education in a variety of patient settings

  • assist with being a primary liaison between Food & Nutrition Services and patients, and actively participate in department Performance Improvement projects

  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
