Sodexo Inc. Area General Manager in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Sodexo Seniors is seeking an Area General Manager to oversee food services operations for the client portfolio of 5 communities in the Southeastern Pennsylvania. We are Looking to grow the market with strong ability to retain accounts. The scope of service is a mix of residential dining, skilled nuring and assisted living. You will report to the VPO. Your day to day responsibilities will include providing overall planning, direction, evaluation and control of food service units. You will be responsible of operations and financial goals, HR functions, establishing and maintaining effective customer/client rapport and providing leadership support to a team of Managers and front-line hourly associates. The candidate will reside in Southeastern Pennsylvania, ideally in York or Lancaster area. Some travel will be required.
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, talent management, strong communication and project management skills along with previous food service management experience in a healthcare environment. This candidate will need to be able to work both horizontally and vertically within both organizations and have outstanding presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage the workload accordingly. Works with clients and VPO in all matters relating to contract and account operations to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account growth and account retention.#LI
Functions as the in-unit leader for multiple accounts and/or contracts within a defined geography. Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of a multi-site.
Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources.
Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals – Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.
Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system.
Maintains Quality & Company Standards – reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.
Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.
Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
