Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 3 for our Food Services at Hawaii Preparatory Academy , a prestigious, culturally diverse College Preparatory school - K – 12 in Kamuela, HI . Hawaii Prep is on two campuses currently enrolling 634 students from 28 countries and 17 states.
The General Manager will serve as the leader of Food and Dining Services on Campus with a managed volume of $1.6 M and overseeing the 2 campuses student Dining venues and Catering. The GM must be able to create the vision necessary to support the contract and interact and become a part of the small campus and local community. Leadership, Computer Skills, Culinary knowledge, and Food/Beverage Cost controls are key skills that must be mastered to be successful as a GM with Sodexo.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Previous management background in high volume food retail / restaurant/ dining or high volume corporate or campus dining including catering oversight.
Excellent relationship skills: developing strong partnerships with campus departments, students and staff.
A track record of commitment to creating a welcoming guest/ customer dining experience and ability to train/mentor staff on customer service.
Strong financial acumen - managing annual budgets, maintaining labor/cost controls.
Seeking local candidates – the ability to understand and have experience in island culture, cuisine would be beneficial in this role.

Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
