Unit Description

Sodexo's Aviation Group is seeking a high-performing Sous Chef for a high-profile airline client at JFK Airport . This Sous Chef will assist in the high-volume culinary food production for one of our valued client's first-class, private airport club/lounges.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will be responsible for leading the kitchen staff in food prep, 75% hands on cooking, plate presentation, recipe adherence, food safety standards (HACCP), production and execution, product ordering, and inventory processes. Must have strong Department of Health background and exemplary leadership skills. We are looking for an ambitious culinarian who is looking to grow and take on progressive responsibilities such as leading a team under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Position Summary

Leads food preparation at one station of a foodservice operation (i.e., salads, soups). May supervise less than two full time employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
