Seeking an experienced Executive Chef for who is seeking growth for our long tenured account at Indiana State University located in affordable Central West Indiana. Fantastic location, just 45 minutes from Indianapolis, Indiana with Chicago being only 180 miles north, Cincinnati Ohio is 180 miles east and Louisville Kentucky is just 185 miles south . Indiana State is a public university with close to 14,000 students and 4,000 residents. The campus hosts two resident dining operations , large retail operation that includes both national and Sodexo brands and a catering volume on campus is over $1.5m . The vision for the dining program is to provide creative and innovative operations while maintaining a level of afford-ability for the students.
Reporting to the Campus Executive Chef, this position will overseelarge culinary for catering on campus. Catering volume is over $1.5m . Successful candidate will oversee up to 10associates, 1 Senior Supervisor and 1 Sous Chef. In addition to Catering, Executive chef will have culinary over-site for retail operations and the Faculty Staff dining room operations.

The ideal candidate will have:
College/university culinary management experience;
extensive culinary experience with high volume and VIP catering ;
excellent management skills;
experience with food and labor management systems;
experience with on line ordering;
experience mentoring, training and leading a culinary staff;
a culinary degree preferred, not mandatory;
a desire to grow to next level Executive Chef.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
