Sodexo Operations LLC Retail Manager 3 in HONOLULU, Hawaii
Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Retail Manager 3 at University of Hawaii Manoa - in Honolulu, HI. The Retail Manager will manage the licensed brand concepts of Starbucks and Jamba Juice. This position is also over a grab and go concept Simply To Go which focuses on local brands and grab and go items. Annual sales volume is approximately $3 Million. Starbucks hours of operation are 6am - 10pm. Jamba Juice is open from 7am - 5pm. Simply to Go is open from 7am - 3pm. Primarily Monday - Friday hours however we may open the stores for student concerts and events late night or weekends.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Previous supervisory/management background in High volume food service - restaurants, mall food courts, universities or hospitals.
Experience with National food retail brands or other QSR background.
Have extensive cash handling management experience and use of Point of Sale equipment.
Understand how to manage multiple venues across campus – having a background with maintaining standards of national food brands.
Have strong organizational skills – be a “ Go-Getter” attitude and be able to handle the fast paced environment of a large food service operation – having a high volume dining background.
Be a visionary – always thinking towards the future : what can we do different next semester, next spring… while handling the day to day food retail operations
Have an “Eye for Marketing ” - implementing and overseeing marketing and sales strategies to increase retail sales.
Have a strong hospitality focus - be engaged and interacting with our clients, students, faculty and employees.
Current experience in Food service in Hawaii is preferred - understanding island culture, cuisine, workforce. There is NO RELOCATION assistance.
Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
