Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Food Services General Manager 4 to oversee the Resident Dining, Food Retail, Catering and Concessions Services at Carroll College - a private faith based liberal arts college located Helena, MT - Montana’s exciting capital city. Total enrollment is 1500, with a campus board population of approximately 800 on various meal plans in a newly renovated student dining hall. There is also catering, concessions for football, basketball and volleyball throughout the year, conferences, and 2 food Retail venues. This is a long-standing account of over 50 years and the client satisfaction is extremely high and excellent relationships all around.
Campus leadership in collaboration with Sodexo is embarking on a long term strategic plan to enhance the Student Experience - including proven conference and quality catering experience.
Is this the right role for YOU? The ideal candidate will:
Have previous Sodexo Food operations management in a larger university setting, and a solid understanding of catering and conference services.
Be an Innovative, Strategic Thinker - will be involved in strategic planning for Conference Service Solutions, Student Experience, Sustainability.
Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.
Strong culinary understanding – staying atuned to food trends.
Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food – customer service.
Be a multi-tasker, organized, innovative and an effective leader who can motivate their staff. – strong employee engagement through developing, mentoring, training and motivating encouraging staff to a high level of execution and pride/passion for what they do.
Have sound professional and ethical business practices, excellent communication skills to meet the high standards of the client and the campus community.

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
Directs all contract services.
Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.
