Sodexo Operations LLC Registered Dietitian 1 in FALMOUTH, Massachusetts

Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for Falmouth Hospital, a 95 bed community hospital which is part of Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC).

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian or eligible for RD certification.

  • Work as part of a team with a part time RD to provide nutritional care to acute care patients.

  • Be a part of a collaborative management team working closely with the Food Service Director, Operations Manager and Clinical Nutrition Manager in the daily operation.

  • Teach a cardiac rehab class twice monthly.

  • Work every other weekend providing hospital wide clinical coverage.

  • Work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff and collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently and be outcome focused.

  • Participate in Performance Improvement projects, employee training and education.

  • Have good time management skills and strong communication and customer services skills.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
