We are seeking, highly motivated, and innovative Executive Chefs. The individuals who will expand on our mission to “Improve the quality of life for all that we serve” will have experience in environments of 3 million managed volume or more, and experience managing large teams with multiple priorities.
We are seeking an Executive Chef who will:
manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;
ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
manage food costing, controls and compliance;
develop menus and manage inventory;
have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
have the ability to interview, on board, develop and train front-line employees;
have a passion for food and innovation;
have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and
knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred
The best-qualified candidate will have the following background and skills:
Culinary Degree and Servsafe Certificate
Previous healthcare,Senior Dining and contract food service management experience
Must have experience of $2 million in management oversight
Experience in inventory management & on-line ordering for $2M in volume
Experience creating and developing menus and pricing for resident dining, food production and catering
Dynamic leadership skills for outcomes that exceed client and resident expectations
Ability to manage multiple and at times, competing priorities
Computer skills; food and labor management systems, Menu Graphics

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
Manages catering & retail areas.
Customer & Client satisfaction.
Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
Manages food & physical safety programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
