Sodexo is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Research Manager , in the strategy team of Corporate Services segment, North America. The position plays an essential role in the segment and is responsible for: identify growth opportunities via data analytics, design various models to accelerate growth, and lead digital projects to help Sodexo become a client / consumer centric organization. The candidate needs to work closely with the senior leadership team to provide data analytics expertise in strategic planning, sales planning, operation optimization, innovation, and digital transformation. The candidate will work in a virtual capacity.
Integrate, clean and analyze large scale data from multiple sources to recommend growth or optimization opportunities to the senior leadership team
Lead quantitative research and analysis to support the strategic planning process e.g. market segmentation, using advanced analytics & statistical techniques e.g. Logistic regression, Clustering, Decision Tree
Build predictive model / algorithm based on both internal & external data, to make forecast on changes of client / consumer needs & behaviors
Ensure all models are designed, built, documented and maintained to appropriate governance, regulatory & in-house modelling standards
Visualize and communicate insights to key business stakeholders
Work closely with Client and consumer insight team in marketing
Partners with group digital and North America IT&S team, and support the implementation of Digital transformation projects in the segment
The preferred candidate will have the following background/skillsets:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Finance etc.
At least 3 years working experience in Data analytics or related areas
Highly proficient in statistical knowledge and quantitative analysis
Excellent expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), with advanced knowledge in Excel, e.g. use of formula, logic statements, pivot tables and macros
Highly proficient in using data visualization and BI tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
Proficient with predictive analytics tools including R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB etc.
Familiar with database query tools and language
Strong business and financial acumen and understanding
Analytical, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
Strong project (program) management skills
Be innovative, creative and agile and adaptive in a highly dynamic business environment
Up to 15% travel
This position plays an essential role in the strategic planning team and supports the segment to implement its strategies and deliver the growth objectives. Key responsibilities include: identify growth opportunities via analyzing large scale of internal and external data. Support strategic planning and other key functions via providing expertise in data analytics. Lead digital transformation projects and work closely with senior leadership team and global/regional IT and digital teams. The preferred candidate must have excellent capabilities in data analytics, strong business acumen, strategic thinking skills, leadership and willingness to work in a highly dynamic environment.
Oversees the competitive intelligence and market research functions within Sodexo. Organizes the process of gathering, analyzing and communicating data on Competitors (traditional and potential new entrants in our markets and services). Manages directly and/or supervises the management of market research projects (related to existing and new clients markets and services). Prepares related reports, briefings and presentations to Senior Management for use in strategy decision making.
