Sodexo Inc. Vending Technician - Senior in Cleveland, Ohio
Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs daily vending related duties necessary to meet deadlines and customer needs. Refills vending machines and cleans machines. Collects, counts money and keeps accurate records of all cash per Sodexo policy and procedures. Loads and unloads trucks with supplies according to written or verbal instructions, or supervises other vending personnel doing these tasks. Conducts inventory maintenance. Requisitions and takes receipt of supplies, recording controls. May prepare foods for machines. May drive a truck over established routes (a valid State of Ohio driver's license is required).
Follow key policies, including checking out and returning keys to appropriate areas. Prepare items for vending machine. Monitor the rate at which products are selling, and adjust the mix accordingly to maximize sales. Refill vending machines and replace date expired food items. Clean vending machines. Collect and count money from machines. Test and inspect vending machines to determine proper functioning or causes of malfunctions. Follow all company policies and procedures (e.g., safety and security); ensure uniform/dress code and personal appearance are clean and professional; support workplace diversity initiatives. Follow proper food handling procedures. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions. Report work related accidents. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Ensure all cleaning and maintenance standards are adhered to; assure proper inventory levels.
May work varying schedule to include mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.

Maintain client satisfaction at a level that ensures account retention.
Follow proper food handling procedures.
Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
Follow company and department safety, security, and loss prevention policies and procedures to ensure aclean, safe, and secure environment.
Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Policies and Procedures - Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Communication - Communicate with customers with a professional and polite demeanor.
Working with Others -Support all coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect.
Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement - Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Operations - Assure proper inventory and restock as needed.
Ability to drive a truck over extablished routes.
Ability to use a computer
Ability to work a flexible varying schedule to include, holidays, weekends, evenings, mornings and extended hours as business dictates.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Significat walking or other means of mobility
Replace date expired food items.
Refill vending machines.
Prepare items for vending machine (e.g., organize it correctly, ensure adequate stock).
Clean vending machines (e.g., wipe down glass, sweep out crumbs, and collect fallen items).
Proper Lifting Techniques
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Work is physically demanding, lifiting, pulling, pushing.
Education High School diploma / G.E.D. equivalent
Certification A valid State of Ohio driver's license
Ability to pass background check, drug check and driving record check
Related Work Experience - Driving experience, 1 to 2 years in a position requiring public contact with sales and cash handling work experience
