Sodexo Inc. Chef Manager in CARY, North Carolina

Unit Description

This is a Sodexo ROSI (Regional Operations Support) Chef Manager to support Senior Living accounts in the Southeast region. All units are continuing care retirement communties averaging 250 - 300 residents. This Chef Manager will assist with new openings in the region and fill in for managers at existing accounts as needed. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout the district with overnight travel and a 10 day on and 4 day off work schedule.

This is an exceptional career opportunity with the possibility of moving into a permanent role within the district. As a Resource Manager, the selected candidate will be eligible to post to permanent Sodexo positions.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • a culinary background;

  • the ability to train and mentor staff;

  • a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

  • a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;

  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

  • working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficient in computer skills.

Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables. May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
