Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to support our team for a new line of business in Bryan, Texas/ College Station, Texas . The Executive Chef will support a beautiful Independent Living and Assisted Living community and manage a staff of up to 15 employees.

The ideal Executive Chef candidate will have experience in an upscale Senior Living Community, Country Club, Casino, or Resort dining operation. We are seeking candidates whom have a passion for food, and a passion for people. The robust Dining operation includes, five full-service dining rooms, onsite catering, and small retail concepts.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to higher standards

  • manage the daily food production (including production planning and controls)

  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards (including recipe compliance and food quality)

  • manage food costing, controls and compliance

  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food

The ideal candidate has:

  • a strong culinary background and Culinary Degree

  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies

  • previous experience working in a high volume facility

  • strong management skills

  • a focus on food safety/sanitation and physical safety (ServSafe certification is required)

  • excellent time management skills to travel and train employees in satellite locations

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

Key Duties

-Executes the culinary function

-Customer & Client satisfaction

-Manages food & physical safety program.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
