Sodexo , Corporate Services is hiring a Catering Manager for a corporate headquarters location with upscale catering events located in Brentwood, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have excellent client and customer service skills, be able to multi-task, lead by example, and direct employees in a fast paced environment. Applicants should be detail-oriented and committed to the highest level of customer service.

Catering managers are responsible for planning, administering and supervising catering operations.
Catering managers run the day-to-day catering operations. The most important part of our job is achieving and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Plan menus and interact with chef to ensure the client needs are met
Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed
Oversee food preparation, transportation and set-up activities to ensure successful event
Monitor the product quality
Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required
Interact with customers if involved with front of house work
Respond to customer inquiries in accurate and timely manner
Coordinate and manage catering operations to assure quality services
Communicate daily with the management team, plan work schedules and check client requirements
Must be able to multi task with multiple events
Deal with customer complaints and comments
Ensure all events run smoothly from beginning to end
Take responsibility for each event and the assigned staff members
Supervise the housemen to ensure that all setups are according to the customers need
Lead by example and maintain service standards
Troubleshoot day-to-day problems and address them as they arise
Oversight of catering activities for a small to mid-size location/unit with $500k-$1M in managed catering volume. Medium complexity with a high degree of hands on involvement in catering events. Strong client interaction.
Oversight of Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering programs to direct daily catering events including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.
Oversight of the sales process for catering and/or conference service events. Works with client and customers to design events.
Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.
Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards in various environments. Drives the Zero Harm mindset.
Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary
Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
