Sodexo is seeking a highly experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee the Retail operation at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center - a large teaching Medical Center located in Boston, MA.

This position requires Passion, Team Spirit, Strong Analytical and Human Resource Skills, Innovation, Retail Marketing and Sales Growth initiatives, Cash Control, and Focus on Overall Customer Experience.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Extensive experience in Food Retail high volume environments.

  • A deep understanding and proven track record for providing excellent Customer Service;

  • Strong analytical skills to include budgeting and forecasting;

  • Experience training and leading a retail food staff;

  • Strong POS knowledge and prior cash handling experience – SRP (Sodexo Retail Pricing Tool) and CCR Data POS experience a plus;

  • Experience with client interaction and flexibility to work in several areas of dining services as needed.

  • A proactive hands-on approach – with client, employees and customers.

  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in Hospitality or Hotel Restaurant Management

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.

Key Duties

-Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.

-Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.

-Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.

-Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.

-Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

-Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
