Job # 76149 - Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for Seabury in Bloomfield, CT. This is a 300 Resident Upscale 50 and over Life Care Community. Nestled on more than 66 acres of beautiful Connecticut countryside; this picturesque campus is located between the centers of Bloomfield and West Hartford and is just minutes from the Farmington Valley and downtown Hartford and in the corridor between Boston and New York.

This role will support in-unit culinary operations within a retirement community that serves multiple levels of care including retail and formal dining venues. This is a hands-on cooking position with management responsibilities.

In this role, you oversee food production, conduct inventory & on-line ordering, manage food cost controls, maintain; HACCP and regulatory compliance, food quality standards, food and environmental safety, uphold sanitation standards, and interact daily with clients and residents for strong business relations and satisfaction. Position requires exceptional follow through on daily food & kitchen safety self-audits and the ability to develop teams that deliver extraordinary dining experiences.

Your Skills Checklist for this position;

Formal Culinary Training / Trade School Certificate

Servsafe Certified

Working knowledge of HACCP for regulatory compliance

Senior / Fine Dining, Restaurant experience

Skills to train & develop 15 hourly employees

Hands on skills with food production and catering

Experience with inventory management, on-line ordering

Computer skills; Food & Labor Management software

Working knowledge; recipe compliance and food quality standards

Experience with labor and food cost controls
