Exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of Biomedical Technicians located at Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) located in Arlington Heights, IL. NCH is an hospital in , . Opened in 1959, Northwest Community Hospital serves more than 350,000 outpatients from Chicago's northwest suburbs each year and more than 20,000 inpatients treated annually at the 489-bed acute care hospital in Arlington Heights. The hospital is designated as a Primary Stroke Center. NCH has four locations in the northwest suburbs and operates an NCH Easy Access walk-in clinic in Palatine. NCH has a medical staff of more than 1,000 physicians, which includes the board-certified primary care doctors and specialists of the NCH Medical Group. Sodexo’s BMET professionals have:

  • Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance clinical devices such as: Puritan Bennett/CareFusion Ventilator, Hospira Infusion Pumps, Medfusion, Cath lab, cardiac cath, Draeger, Steris sterilizers, Telemetry, Balloon Pumps, Nurse Call, Critical Alerts, GE Philips, Siemens

  • Experience working on patient monitoring networks, sterilizers, anesthesia machines and/or ventilators is a plus

  • Required on-call rotational schedule

Position Summary

Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, maintains and calibrates a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.

Key Duties

-Inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate equipment and systems

-Provides advanced support of equipment for direct patient care

-Interacts on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutions

-Solves organization-level customer service issues and complaints

-Preparing required documentation and reports

-Ensures regulatory compliance

-Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service

-Demonstrates a safety mindset

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
