Carolinas HealthCare System-Stanly located in Albemarle, NC .

CHS-Stanly Regional Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 109 beds. This position supports Carolinas Healthcare System’s mission to become a leader in World Class HealthCare by providing safe, wholesome and innovative food to our patients, customers as well as hospital employees in a variety of settings. Albemarle is located in Stanly County, NC approx. 30 miles from Charlotte, NC.

The Executive Chef requires hands-on availability in all aspects of food operation and must be willing to drive and enhance Patient Services. This key hire for the food services team will have a strong focus on internal/external catering with production oversight for patient meal service and the hospital cafeteria.

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous chef experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

  • Experience in retail food, café food merchandising, marketing plans and catering to drive enhanced transaction growth and customer capture rates

  • Working knowledge with cash handling and cash management policies with accountability and accuracy through managing staff

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Position Summary

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
