Sodexo is proud to serve the Army at West Point, New York . We have an opening for a Food Service General Manager . The Army Hospital serves Army families and veterans. Patients are served using a room service style menu, a large outpatient department resulting in a busy cafe.
The dailymission includes preparing meals according to Army provided recipes and quantities. Inspections conducted by variousdepartments within the Army for quality, food and physical safety in accordance with the Army Food Service Standards. You will assistthe members of the Army Nutrition Services staff with innovative menu ideas and recipes,specialty meals, and guidance with ordering from approved government contracted vendors.
GM Responsibilities include:
Manage 15 employees
Oversee all day to day food and nutrition services
Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team.
Work to achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
Work to achieve continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores.
Must meet Sodexo standards of operations.
Createa positive environment.
Successfully motivate and manage team in a fast paced environment.
The ideal candidateper our contract, will have three years of previous healthcare experience andwill have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills. Culinary production experience would be ideal. Candidates will have the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service. Candidate must be knowledgeable in compliance to food safety, sanitation and overall workplace safety standards.
Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
