Sodexo Government Services has a fantastic opportunity for a highly passionate, experienced, organized, and disciplined individual with a strong commitment to food operations to join our team at The United States House of Representatives at in Washington, DC as a Food General Manager 3.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide leadership and oversight at two locations, the Rayburn Cafeteria as well as a franchised Subway. These two locations generate $1.9M in annual revenue and have 35 frontline/hourly (Sodexo, union) employees along with one other Sodexo manager.

This is an extremely visible role where the General Manager must be able to provide high-touch, high caliber customer service to a VIP level customer base. An extremely high level of service standard must be maintained in the areas of customer service, cleanliness, food quality and speed of food service. Successfully managing the serving of high volumes of customers in short periods of time must be a consistent top priority for this manger.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of the entire food service process at these two locations

  • Maintaining consistently high standards in both operations during all service times

  • Driving the overall food service process and implementation of all Sodexo and USHR standards

  • Training & development of staff

  • Ensuring a high level of accountability throughout the unit and across all staff members

  • Direct customer and client interaction

  • HR functions (recruiting, interviewing, disciplinary)

  • Ensuring quality standards and compliance with HACCP guidelines

  • Supervision of 35 union employees plus one Sodexo manager

  • Ensuring employee and customer engagement

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
