Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager II/ Operations Manager for the Covenant Village of Turlock Retirement Community; Turlock, CA. This facility is 15 miles south of Modesto and is located on 23 acres of quiet countryside in California’s Central Valley.

This location has an Independent living facility with a high end dining room, a pool side café, and a new Bistro! This location is part of a 12 Campus system located throughout the United States. .

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with experience in long term care and resident service management.

  • Be responsible for managing clinical nutrition programs and the nutrition services department

  • Assist the General Manager and manage 25 kitchen staff

  • Be able to integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team

  • Provide nutritional care to long term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients.

  • Have experience with electronic charting and the NCP.

  • Provide monthly nutrition lectures to the assisted living and independent living residents.

  • Train and supervise the food service employees as needed.

  • Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards.

  • Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff.

  • Will be a customer focused, innovative leader with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and have experience with Title 22 and CA State Survey.

  • Be able to work a rotating weekend schedule of 1-2 weekends/month

Position Summary

Coordinates and directs the efforts of clinical and patient care dietitians, as well as other staff members within one or two sites. Responsible for meeting JCAHO/state/federal and company standards. This position is the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
