Sodexo is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to oversee Campus culinary operations for our longstanding Universities account at Trinidad State Jr College -in the southern Colorado Rockies near Pueblo, CO area. TSJC is a beautiful campus located in the Rocky Mountains with a growing business model. Expanding services to include Retail, Resident Dining and Catering. Knowledge of Campus Resident Dining, Food Retail and Catering as well as Sodexo systems are essential for successful execution of this role.

As Sodexo's Chef Manager you will do all purchasing for resident dining, retail venues and catering . You will show your strong leadership skills as you mentor and train your staff of up to 10 associates. There are approximately 250 students on our meal plan – which offers 4 platforms. As the ideal candidate you have the following experiences:

  • 2 - 3 years high volume culinary management experience, from family or chain restaurants, small contract management university, hospital or corporate background.

  • Experience with catering and growing off-site catering sales.

  • Strong financial understanding of Food/Labor costs, managing to the middle of the page.

  • Proven track record for training/mentoring and leading a culinary staff

  • Solid communication skills and ability to develop rapport within a small rural farming community - daily involvement with client, faculty, staff and students.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
