Sodexo is currently seeking a Patient Services Manager 1 for St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe , a 108 bed facility located in Stroudsburg, PA .

St. Luke’s Hospital – Monroe is a part of St. Luke’s University Health Network, a non-profit, regional, fully integrated, nationally recognized network providing services at seven hospitals and more than 200 sites.

The successful Patient Services Manager will have experience and proven results in, the following areas:

Leadership: Ability to effectively manage and communicate with Patient Services Staff, Key Personnel, Management Teams along with a passion and dedication to be “one of the best”. Candidate must be highly engaged and extremely hands-on in day to day operations.

Training: Must be able to articulate, demonstrate and uphold operating standards and expectations for the frontline staff through hands on training, coaching and follow up.

Financial: Ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with food costs, labor and controllable expenses.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Ablility to remain calm and focused in a highly demanding environment, understands and is able to meet the operating standards and expectations

  • Focus on customer service excellence, able identify and implement process improvement initiatives to increase patient satisfaction

  • Demonstrated experience providing strong leadership, including supervision, direction and training, to a diverse team of employees

  • Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation

  • Experience managing food and labor cost controls to meet targets

  • Experience maintaining compliance with Sodexo and regulatory standards, including EcoSure, Gold Check, The Joint Commission, ODH, etc.

We are looking for candidates who can:

  • implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction;

  • monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding;

  • interact with patients and the nursing staff;

  • perform tray assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the floors; and

  • perform some HR functions and direct supervision of hourly associates.

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.

Key Duties

  • Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

  • Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

  • Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

  • Performs audits and prepares reports
