Sodexo K12 Schools Food Division is seeking a proven food service leader to support a small 3 location school food service operation. Experience in K-12 and the national school lunch program management helpful. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in managing multiple school food service operations to include strengths in; managing food cost, labor cost, quality production all while providing strong, decisive leadership.
The Food Service Manager will oversee the operations of 3 locations. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage front-line production employees in a dynamic environment.
A strong/proven background in food operations management is a must. Areas of responsibility include management of the National School Lunch program, food preparation/presentation, staff training and development, safe food handling practices (including HACCP) and strong customer service skills. Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
