Sodexo Operations LLC Senior Manager, Marketing in SCHENECTADY, New York
Sodexo is looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Marketing Manager to lead a team to create unforgettable student events, engaging marketing communication and drive year-over-year growth. This role will be critical for strategic enhancement of University initiatives in the area of marketing, student engagement, research and communications in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The Sr.Marketing Manager will preferrably reside in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut due to the concentration of the business.
This is a virtual position that supports the operations team manages a team of area marketing coordinators. The leading candidate will have the ability to implement Sodexo programs, pricing and growth initiatives, analyze data, supporting new sales/retention and present to high level executives.
The Senior Manager works closely with Sodexo University Operations team to develop strategies for growth and increasing sales for each district, unit in their area. While deploying these initiatives they are working to also improve customer satisfaction, and promoting the Sodexo Brand.
There will be a minimum of 65% travel with this position. The ideal candidate will be self-motivating, able to communicate and influence others. Strong technology skills will be helpful in reaching the students we serve. Experience is Restaurant/Foodservice Marketing is a plus.
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:
Deployment of marketing/customer satisfaction/communication goals and financial objectives
Developing and implementing evaluation systems to ensure the programs are meeting set goals
Leveraging data produced by such systems to facilitate change management
Monitoring systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications
Developing short and long term strategic plans for the universities in the portfolio
Regional growth initiatives with rollouts and training of national marketing programs to support unit operations and new revenue streams.
Assisting accounts with marketing initiatives such as surveys, harmonized promotions, national programs, and pricing.
Proven track record of increasing voluntary meal plan sales and/or sales dollars or sales volume and be able to provide examples of marketing strategies that were implemented
3-5 years of food retail marketing experience - meal plan sales, pricing and menu board deployment, promotion deployment and execution, and visual merchandise upgrades that are current with market trends
Dynamic communication skills – an ambassador for Sodexo to our clients and our customers
Effective time management skills – able to prioritize, multi-task: managing multiple projects, relationships and account locations
Experience with customer satisfaction enhancements, - ability to analyze account customer satisfaction surveys and help identify action plans in response
Ability to build relationships and partner with Operational Managers to develop impactful marketing strategies
Additional skills/competencies include: diversity awareness, team building/training, building strategic relations, market research, data and financial analysis for return on investments
Experience and the ability to initiate goals within budgets, execute plans to meet deadlines, and work with teams on processes while monitoring outcomes.
Responsible for promoting awareness of Division products, services, and capabilities. Develops internal communications strategy for Division, as well as marketing plans and strategies for individual business segments. Rolls out marketing programs and assists with proposals/presentations on an ongoing basis.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in marketing or related field
