Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager for HealthEast St. Joseph located in Saint Paul, MN . This Food Service Manager will be responsible for managing a portion of the daily operations of the Food Services department at this acute care hospital. This position will support food production, the Patient Dining experience, retail operations and will share manager-on-duty responsibilities with other team members. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years of food service experience, excellent customer services skills, an understanding of healthcare environments and the ability to train, coach and engage a team of 12 front-line staff. Knowledge of nutrition will be a plus! This Food Service Manager will work a flexible schedule that may include opening, closing and weekend shifts.

Position Summary

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
