Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Regions is a teaching and research hospital that specializies in trauma care, buen care, emergency care, surgical services, international health, hearth, neuro, woman's care , seniors and cancer. Hospital has 454 beds and havs more than 25,000 annual admissions.

This position wll have direct responsibility for production leadership, as well as occasional retail(cafeteria and coffee shop)and patient services oversight.The Excecutive Chef will work in Partnership with rest of the leadership team to support the client's mission, to improve health and well being in partnership with our members, patients and community.

Technical skills include high levels of proficiency of data reporting systems and and Microsoft Office; menu forecasting, planning and production; inventory management systems and cost control; absolute commitment to safe food handling practices, qualities and standards.

Additionaly, the Executive Chef 1 will partner with the management team and client leaders to ensure production standards continually exceed expectations of patients and guests.

Reporting to the Executive Chef 3 the Executive chef will be responsible for all aspects of the culinary program and have additional operational responsibilities as well. Coupled with prior management level experience in a hospital environment, our ideal candidate will be a customer focused, innovative leader with exceptional culinary experience and a very creative mindset as well as demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and meet financial objectives.

Position Summary

Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a small account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
