Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager 2 for Penn Highlands Elk. Penn Highlands Elk is a part of Elk Regiona Health System, it is acute care critical access 42 bed hospital with a 138 bed long term care facility. We have a cafeteria and a snack shop. Hours of operation are 6am to 7pm. You would help manage 55 employees. Wellness is key to the clients for both the patients and cafeterias. New fresh ideas would be a great asset to the facility. Long term care experience would be a plus but not necessary. Experience with state regulations and inspections would be a beneficial to this role.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
