We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Cardinal Glennon is a 191 bed facility located in St. Louis, Mo. The Food Production manager position requires a high level of computer experience in food management programs, POS programs and working knowledege of Excel, Word and Outlook. The candidate must have great communication skills and the ability to train and mentor employees.

Reporting to the General Manager the Food Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the culinary program including patient dining and retail café operations. Coupled with prior management level experience in a hospital environment, our ideal candidate will be a customer focused, innovative leader with exceptional culinary experience and a very creative mindset for this childrens hospital setting as well as demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and meet financial objectives.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
