Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking an entry-level Registered Dietitian with at least 0 to 2 years' of experience to provide nutrition care at Saint Louis University Hospital which is an acute care hospital and the academic teaching hospital for Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time exempt position that includes some weekend and holiday coverage.

Position will report to Clinical Nutrition Manager and ideal candidate will be:

  • Responsible for a variety of patient units and a couple days monthly in an outpatient clinic

  • Perform daily patient satisfaction rounds along with monthly test trays, meal accuracies and patient rounds.

  • Self-directed, organized, flexible and a team player

  • Able to develop rapport with the medical staff

  • Work with the Clinical Nutrition Manager and other Sodexo Management team to provide exemplary care to patients, staff and community.

  • Work with dietetic interns from Saint Louis University for acute care clinical training

  • Must be a Registered Dietitian eligible for licensure in MO.SYS

Position Summary

Provides basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in basic principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 years work experience in health care including

hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term

care, retirement homes, or clinics, meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian.
