Sodexo is looking for an Chef Manager at Plymouth State University , located in Plymouth, NH. Between boundless natural beauty and a hometown vibe, you’ll find a cutting-edge place to live. With an enrollment of approximately 4,100 undergraduate and approximately 3,000 graduate students, our 170-acre campus offers a classic New England look combined with up-to-date facilities. Located in central New Hampshire at the gateway to the White Mountains and the Lakes Region in the quaint town of Plymouth, Plymouth State is within minutes of ski resorts, lakes, and parks and only two hours from Boston.

The Chef will manage and do cooking for lunch and dinner shifts as well as cooking one late night one day a week. Sunday to Thursday is the typical work week with Sunday night being the late night meal. The Chef will be responsible for record keeping and temp logs as well as hands on production.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and training of approx. 60 student employees.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Menu planning/creation

  • Scheduling

  • Hands-on food preparation

  • Inventory, purchasing, and food costing

  • HACCP, training, leading, managing the culinary team

  • Special events

Position Summary

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables. May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Key Duties

  • Executes the culinary function.

  • Customer & Client satisfaction.

  • Handles administrative functions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
