The Catering Manager will be tasked with the booking, organization and execution of all events on campus (six buildings within a 5 mile radius). This is a brand new account with a growing catering program - approx $1M in volume. Events range from a simple boxed lunch to an executive plated event. Highly visible position with heavy customer interaction. This manager will be based out of the unit's conference center and will oversee a catering staff of 8. The ideal candidate will have the following: Casual and fine dining catering management experience -- experience training and leading a catering staff -- experience managing multiple priorities -- experience with catering coordination and event execution -- excellent customer service skills. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday with some weekends as business needs dictate.\nPosition Summary:\nManages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints.
