The Executive Chef will lead the culinary services team in a corporate dining operation located in Phoenix, AZ. Through your experience and expertise, you will implement and support all food related programs at the location including the food production for the employee cafe, a satellite deli outlet, coffee kiosk and catering functions. Your duties also include menu development, inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, and personnel management. In your day to day responsibilities you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and work toward improving systems and processes, execution of catering events. This position reports directly to the Director.


The ideal Executive Chef candidate will have strong computer skills, account has a strong focus on healthy eating lifestyle so knowledge on health conscious menus is ideal, strong background in catering and a certified chef from an accredited school. Must have previous experience as an Executive Chef, relevant culinary experience in a corporate dining environment and ServSafe certified.

Position Summary:
Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a small account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
Qualifications &amp; Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo's Business and Industry (Corporate Dining) is currently seeking an Executive Chef to help oversee a flagship account with multiple on site food service venues in the Phoenix area. We are looking for a chef to drive the culinary program and support the on site GM with Customer Service, Wellness and Financial initiatives.

Candidate will have ultimate culinary responsibility and be able to innovatively drive the culinary program, create new menu strategies and integrate into the client culture of on site initiatives. 

The ideal candidate possesses a mastery of culinary management, strong understanding of HACCP fundamentals, is experienced with upscale food procurement and food presentation and is able to prioritize production demands in order of importance. Strong computer literacy is required. Proven success managing food and labor costs and the ability to train, supervise, reinforce and counsel a large staff.

The ability to speak Spanish will be helpful in managing the workforce at this account.
