Sodexo has an opportunity for a Retail Food Service Manager 3 position to oversee retail food operations at Creighton University with a population of 7,800 students located in Omaha, NE . Reporting to the Retail Dining Director, the Retail Manager will oversee the daily operations on the East Side of Campus to include Java Jay (busy fast casual restaurant), Brew Jay (coffee & sandwich grab-n-go concept) and Birdfeeder (large c-store) as well as assist in weekly concessions operations.

Qualified candidates will display self-motivated ambition, be team-focused and have strong leadership attributes. Strong administration, organization and client relation skills are necessary at this management level. Relocation Assistance is available!

The ideal Retail Manager candidate will have:

  • 2-5 years of college/university retail food service management experience.

  • Experience working with fast-casual brands.

  • Cash handling experience.

  • Experience leading and training a retail food service staff including supervisors.

  • Experience with labor management systems.

  • Experience managing location budgets.

Position Summary

Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
