Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Food Operations Director (Food Operations Manager 2) to oversee retail food operations at Creighton University located in Omaha, NE.

Food operations include retail and resident dining options, convenience store, catering and concessions. Reporting to the Food Operations Director, this position will oversee retail & concessions outlets on campus (13 in total) including a newly-opened Starbuck's location. This position will oversee three retail managers as well as a concessions supervisor & purchasing assistant. Qualified candidates will display self-motivated ambition, be team-focused and have strong leadership attributes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • College/University food service management experience preferred.

  • Experience managing multiple fast food service units and working with Brands experience.

  • Cash handling experience.

  • Experience leading and training a retail food service staff, including salaried managers.

  • Proven record of client satisfaction and strong communication skills.

  • Strong financial ability.

Position Summary

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
