Sodexo is seeking an Executive Level General Manager (IV) / Dining Director for the Covenant Village of Northbrook in Northbrook, Illinois; in the North Shore area of Chicago. This is a 600 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community and one of the top in the region. Situated on 55 scenic, impeccably manicured acres with a pond, just 20 minutes north of Chicago; a stately suburban paradise of retirement living and you can enjoy the resources and cultural opportunities of charming Northbrook or travel just 25 miles and enjoy Chicagoland at .

Position will interface closely and daily with client leadership. Your ability to integrate into the organizational culture is critical to your success in this role as well as the ability to drive operational excellence while keeping resident satisfaction and organization culture front of mind. Position has the direct responsibility to manage the daily operations related to; dining, customer service, quality, cost controls, while providing strategic leadership to the dining team. Position manages a budget of $4-5 million, 4 managers, 60 employees, the HACCP and Safety Programs, Regulatory Compliance, Five Star Dining Services, and the Training Programs.

Ideal Candidate Skills, Certification:

Strong Relationship Building Competency

Ability to integrate into organizational culture

College Degree / Trade School Certificate, a Servsafe Certificate

Seniors and Sodexo Contract Food Service Management experience

Strong Culinary background, fine dining, catering, and food retail skills

Experience managing 4-5 million in financial volume

Experience managing other managers

Experience building client and customer service relationships

Computer skills; financial, food, and labor management systems

Experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team

Schedule may vary with some weekend / holiday coverage.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
