Unit Description

Catering Manager 2 opportunity within Corporate Services in Norfolk, VA. This is a new sale account and a great opportunity for growth within Sodexo. Events range from boxed lunches to high end offerings for sr. executive events. The Catering Manager will split his/her time between sales and operations. This position will manage a team of 10 employees, including all scheduling and training. The Catering Manager will also be responsible for managing his/her food and labor costs to budget. Strong financial skills are key. Excellent customer service and client relations skills are a must!!!

Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6am to 4pm with flexibility for the occasional evening event.

Position Summary

Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
