Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4 for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center , a 338 bed acute care hospital and part of the Barnabas Health System located in Newark, NJ .
Sodexo provides a number of non-clinical services and supports Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in their journey to be a World Class provider of health care to the greater Newark area. This position supports that mission by providing leadership for our team in Food Services in the delivery of safe, wholesome and innovative food and facilities to our Patients, Customers (Retail and Catering) as well as hospital Employees in a variety of settings

The ideal candidate:
has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
has the ability to manage within a union environment with high quality expectations;
has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
holds a degree in Nutrition or a current CDM Certification;
can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
